ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 8 tablespoons whole milk powder
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup and ¾ of sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cardamom
- 2 tablespoons of water
- 1 tablespoon softened butter
- canola oil for frying
Step 1 :
Mix dry ingredients (baking powder, baking soda, milk powder, 1/3 teaspoon of cardamom).
Add 1 tablespoon of softened butter.
Stir in a little water until you have a firm dough.
Divide the dough into small balls.
2nd step :
In a saucepan, heat enough oil to fry the balls
Fry them and drain.
Step 3 (the syrup):
In another saucepan, put 3 ½ cups water, sugar and 1 tablespoon of cardamom.
Heat over low heat until the sugar melts.
Put the balls in the syrup and heat for 25 minutes or until they have doubled in size.
They should be spongy and soft.
Let cool.
